Miguel R. Martinez, Economics and Business Administration

Miguel holds a dual degree in economics and business administration and brings to mediation ample experience as a former senior executive of a Fortune 500 company. He is an expert on intercultural and diversity issues and as the principal of Fenix, Inc. he counts among his clients many public and private entities including NGOs and refugee organizations.

Being a bilingual mediator, Miguel also brings knowledge and understanding of the cultural and linguistic differences that can hinder the communication and resolution of conflicts between different parties.

As an experienced Certified Court Interpreter, he has worked with many State and Federal law enforcement agencies, and Miguel is a past member of the State Advisory Committee of Language Access and the Court Interpreter Oversight Committee of the State of Colorado.

Miguel is a dedicated volunteer and was recognized in 2005 with the Governor’s Volunteer of the Year award and volunteers with several nonprofit and community mediation organizations.

Michele M. Clark, J.D., M.P.A.

Michele is a mediator, attorney, professor and immediate past President of the Mediation Association of Colorado. Michele is proud to be involved with theMAC at this time, as the organization commits itself to being responsive to and representative of the rich, varied and diverse communities in our state.

Michele graduated from Williams College in 1988, and from the University of Colorado School of Law and Graduate School of Public Affairs in 1997. Michele worked in the nonprofit and public interest sector for 9 years practicing family, juvenile and civil rights law. In 2006, Michele opened her own law firm, providing full-service transactional and litigation services to small and medium sized businesses, as well as representation in domestic cases.

In early 2017, Michele launched her mediation practice where she is passionate about helping people resolve problems the way they want to.

Giving back to the community and contributing to the quality of the legal system is important to Michele. She volunteers as an attorney with Colorado Legal Services, and as a mediator with Metro Volunteer Lawyers. Michele was given the 2017 New Volunteer Award from Jefferson County Mediation Services, and she is a Past Chair of the CBA’s Solo and Small Firm Section.
